چکیده

Background: Every year, approximately 800,000 people die from liver diseases associated with hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. Complications outside the are common, such as fungal lung infections and viral infections. These complications may be poor immune function, thus making clinical treatment difficult increasing risk of death. Therefore, HBV-infection-related worthy attention further research. Case summary: We report a case HBeAg-negative chronic in which patient received entecavir an anti-HBV after dysfunction. During treatment, was diagnosed measles severe pneumonia. After comprehensive including active antiviral medications mechanical ventilation, recovered discharged. Conclusion: HBV infection causes damage, affects is likely to measles. Consequently, lead complications, pneumonia, that endanger patients’ lives. To decrease mortality, better understanding disease necessary enable early diagnosis.

HEPATITIS B VIRUS INFECTION IN AN ANTI-HBC NEGATIVE PATIENT: A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT One of the best reliable markers of hepatitis B virus infection is antibodies to the core antigen (Anti-HBc). A first-time blood donor with HBsAg positivity was identified as an HBV carrier that was anti-HBc negative. The patient was followed for 24 months in order to investigate the evolution of his HBV serological profiles and HBVDNA (PCR). In the follow-up for 24 months, HBsAg, HBe...

Hepatitis B surface antigen seroconversion in HBeAg negative chronic hepatitis B patient during entecavir treatment.

Chronic hepatitis B (CHB) infection is still a huge public health problem despite the development of new drugs for its treatment, and complications of end-stage liver disease due to this infection results in one million deaths worldwide annually (1). The ideal end-point of therapy is hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) loss with or without HBs seroconversion. However, it is frequently not achie...

Differential Plasma MicroRNA Profiles in HBeAg Positive and HBeAg Negative Children with Chronic Hepatitis B

BACKGROUND AND AIM Children chronically infected with hepatitis B virus (HBV) are at high risk of progressive liver disease. However, no treatment is available that is consistently effective in curing chronic hepatitis B (CHB) in children. Improved understanding of the natural course of disease is warranted. Identification of specific microRNA (miRNA) profiles in children chronically infected w...

Pyoderma gangrenosum in a patient with antiphospholipid antibody negative systemic lupus erythematosus: A case report

In any description of leg ulcers in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) earns a mention at least for its being quite rare in such patients. The causative role of aPL (antiphospholipid antibody) in dermatological manifestations of SLE is undermined by the occurrence of PG in aPL negative SLE patients.
